The role was a part of Guiding Light, a CBS soap-opera that aired on CBS from 1999 until 2000 as Theresa Sandoval. Her first film appearance was as a character in Girl 6 in 1996. She went on to star on the shows New York Undercover, and The District. Navedo was first seen in a film in the film Girl 6 (1996) she then featured in the episodes of New York Undercover and The District. Navedo worked as a recurring actor in the NBC drama show Law & Order between 2001 to 2004, as the role of Detective Ana Cordova.
